Hmmm...should I mention the High Fructose Corn Syrup?

Who knew my little corner of the blogger world would generate such interest and controversy from big business? Because I've been blogging and writing about high fructose corn syrup, a paid consultant for some very big companies (I won't mention any names, but they rhyme with Moca Mola and Melloggs... just to name a few, her list of corporate clients is longer than a "fruit" roll up) by the name of Robyn Flipse has been leaving comments on my articles.
Not nice comments. Albeit professional, they have a whiff of antagonism and worse, deception. I've been deleting the comments but finally responded. ((Make sure to read the comments at the end of the article, they go in reverse order))
It's amazing to me that someone like that is paid to surf around the interwebs and post comments on topics that are controversial and detrimental to her clients' bank account. Amazing.
I didn't know I had so much influence, but apparently I do. And in today's corporate world, it's good to know.
To read more about the deceptive tactics of the corporate food industry and the lenghths they will go to protect their bottom line, read this.

Is high fructose corn syrup safe?

We've been avoiding HFCS for several years, taking care not to purchase foods that have this additive.
Awhile ago, I remember reading an article about an executive at a food company who got a HUGE bonus for switching from sugar to HFCS - he bought his wife a little sports car with some of his bonus money- and they nick named it the "sugar mobile." She got a sweet ride, for sure, but who is really paying for it?
I've explored this hot topic on examiner this week.
